Painting the Black

Made for the LD41 Compo, my first Ludum Dare entry, and my first game jam.  The theme was "Combine 2 Incompatible/Unlikely Genres."

Made in 9 hours, the game ranked 206th in Graphics and 238th in Innovation out of 1,031 games submitted to the Compo.

Decided to combine baseball with break-out, sort of.  The goal is to get points by getting players on base and then, eventually, home.  You hit the ball into the fence to put a player on base but you have to avoid the red "gloves" (red break-out style barriers) because if you hit those, all the players on base die. 

You have three strikes and then you're out.

POST-JAM UPDATES:

- Added Post-Jam version with music and sound effects.
- Changed the Title Screen and added a splash screen.
- Added new ball-type that destroys gloves.
- Added some more subtle polish and animations.
- Changed "Rules" screen to "How to Play" and updated it.
